A fire line backflow test is a process of inspecting and testing the backflow prevention device on a fire sprinkler system to ensure that it is functioning properly and preventing the contamination of the potable water supply. What is a Backflow Test?
A backflow test is an inspection designed to ensure the backflow prevention assemblies are preventing backflow properly. Backflow occurs when water flows backward from a property into the public water supply, potentially contaminating it with harmful substances. To prevent this, backflow prevention devices, are installed in plumbing or irrigation systems.
